March 19, 2026

Walters, an award-winning developer based in Barnegat, has kicked off the affordable housing lottery for The Landing at Poplar Grove a 152-unit mixed-income family community currently under construction. Occupancy for the first building is slated for June 2026. Applications to enter the housing lottery will be accepted through Wednesday, April 29. The drawing will take place on Tuesday, May 12.

“We’re proud to be investing in the historic community of Moorestown and to build homes where families can put down roots. This new development will offer residents the opportunities and modern amenities they need to thrive,” said Joe Del Duca, Partner and Director of Affordable Housing for Walters.

Located at 350 Borton Landing Road in Burlington County, the development will offer a mix of affordable and market-rate apartments. Applications and lottery are for the affordable units only. Information on market-rate apartments will be released at a later date.

Affordable housing at The Landing at Poplar Grove will be available to residents whose incomes are at or below 60 percent of the area median income. Rental rates are based on the renter’s gross annual income, according to the rent/income requirements chart.

The Landing at Poplar Grove is being constructed to achieve LEED® certification.

Interior layouts will include one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with individual entrances. Apartments will feature open floor plans, upgraded interior finishes, and signature detailing that has won Walters many awards over the years. Residents will enjoy a long list of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, playground, basketball court, pickleball courts and a community clubhouse with computer workstations. Units are equipped with in-unit washers/dryers. A staffed social service coordinator will be available upon request.
