This year, the Walters team was recognized in six categories—Corporate/Property Office Staff, Rising Star, Customer Service, and Maintenance Supervisor. Walters also received the “Excellence in Property Management” award for Cornerstone at Toms River, a 102-unit income-restricted apartment community; and recognition in the new “Creative Edge” category. The accolades are bestowed by a panel of peers and multifamily industry experts from New Jersey and beyond. These achievements distinguish Walters from among the most prominent real estate companies in the state. To be considered for an award, nominees had to submit an application, photos, letters from residents and/or peers, and other supporting documents.
“The NJAA awards reflect the commitment of our outstanding team, whose dedication ensures our residents receive the highest level of service,” said Joe Del Duca, partner and director of Affordable Housing at Walters. “We take pride in developing high-quality, energy-efficient housing that enhances the economic and social well-being of our communities.” “With NJAA’s membership continuing to grow year after year, the level of talent across the association has never been higher, making the competition for a Garden State Award tough,” said NJAA Executive Director and CEO David Brogan. “This exceptional group of property owners, managers, developers, and service providers represents the pinnacle of professionalism and achievement in multifamily housing. I congratulate this year’s winners and thank them for their continued dedication and professionalism.” Along with the company awards, Walters’ staff earned individual honors in the following categories:
• Corporate/Property Office Staff: Tiffany McGee
• Corporate/Property Office Staff: Caity Thomas
• Rising Star: Olivia Maldonado
• Customer Service Excellence: Leslie Ortiz
• Customer Service Excellence: Jennifer Pampalone
• Maintenance Supervisor: Mike Fillman
The Garden State Awards are given by the New Jersey Apartment Association, the premier trade association representing all facets of the multifamily housing industry, including market rate and affordable housing owners, managers, and developers, as well as suppliers. NJAA’s membership owns and manages over 240,000 apartments, providing quality housing to over one million New Jerseyans.
