We are seeking a full-time Lease-Up Specialist to join our Property Management team and support the successful lease-up of our new affordable housing communities. This position will manage applicant inquiries, coordinate the application process, and facilitate pre-leasing activities to help new developments reach targeted occupancy prior to transitioning to the on-site property management team. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, knowledge of affordable housing leasing procedures, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Responds to incoming email and voicemail inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Provides prospective applicants with accurate information regarding new properties and the application process
• Receives, logs, and organizes incoming lottery applications in accordance with Fair Housing requirements and company procedures
• Communicates with applicants regarding application status, required documentation, eligibility requirements, and next steps
• Conducts preliminary income qualification to determine whether applicants meet initial affordable housing eligibility requirements
• Identifies qualified households and contacts applicants regarding available units based on eligibility and preferences
• Coordinates and reviews applicant screenings in accordance with company protocols
• Prepares and submits completed application files to the Compliance Department for final approval
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date waitlist spreadsheets, call lists, and application tracking tools
• Collaborates with internal teams to successfully lease up new developments before transitioning properties to on-site management staff
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with property management software is a plus.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred
• Two or more years of experience in residential leasing, property management, or affordable housing programs preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Primarily office-based position with travel to property sites required
• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
